(Aard) Vark.com - The Social Search Engine

This came across my feed today C/O our friends at Iconoculture.

Aardvark is a new kind of tool that lets you tap into the knowledge and experience of friends and friends-of-friends. Send Aardvark a question (from the web, IM, email, Twitter, or iPhone) and you’ll get a quick, helpful response from someone with…

  • The right knowledge and experience to help
  • Similar tastes
  • Friends in common

The way that it works is that you need to register (Facebook Connect makes it pretty easy). You then ask a question which gets put out to other Aardvark members. Answers get returned via email (see screen cap).

Generally speaking, I think that if Aardvark was real time, it’d be more useful. But it’s pretty cool just the same. I imagine that the site will continue to evolve, but as it, it’s pretty cool.

They also have an iPhone app, and support integration with Twitter.
